Before you begin looking at what we do, take a moment to watch a video put together by our own International Thespian Actor, Mickey Estrella on what ATC has to offer!
The 2020-2021 Theatre Season taught us so much about how dedicated we could show ourselves to be! We worked daily to create a place that presented the voices of our performers, working to continue to shine and grow. We are working to continue to grow at such a progressive rate across the board of all aspects of the Ayala Theatre Company.
The Ayala Theatre Company will continue our mission to be an inclusive and creative outlet for the students while providing quality entertainment and expressive performances to the community. Our students will be challenged to question, express, and be uplifted by the power of performance.
We are well-established and positioned to maintain our previous production schedule, and we are striving to push the expectations of what can be done in person and backed up virtually! We realize that our responsibility to the community is to provide the much-needed escape and opportunity to deepen our community roots. And we know that there are some people who aren't able to see the productions they want to, without being able to come in person. With our supporters in mind, we are also working to film each of our productions and stream them online through a pay site.
Please check in with the Calendar section for a listing of the premiere dates for the two scheduled Main Stage Plays:
THE CRUCIBLE
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
The season also presents opportunities to see our talented and dedicated troupe members of the International Thespian Society Troupe 5173 adapt, write, direct, and perform in the following showcases:
HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL
SHAKESPEARE
FIGURES OF BROADWAY
WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?
This season's Production and Performance Course presents two Shows exploring the bonds and themes of Loyalty, Love, Disillusion, and Revenge:
Theatre World Tour (24 and 25 September)
The Four Universals (21 January)
and also produce the following two full-length productions in the MPR:

Please be sure to check back regularly, or follow us on Instagram. It's going to be an unbelievable season, and we hope that you are with us for each production, each scene, and each line.
This time in history has instilled one reassuring certainty: We need art. We need expression. We need a safe place to create both. That's what we are in every moment. This year, we are looking to delve deeper into the central themes our company wants to explore through various narratives, iconic and original. Our goal is to present our varied voices and characters on the stage, in person, throughout the season.
Each year, we strive to offer the most: the Most Outstanding Voices, the Most Outstanding Plays, the Most Outstanding Passion Projects brought directly from our students to you.
As stated above, we are 100% self-reliant but that includes having to find ways to cover the costs of make-up, costumes, royalties, scripts, and props. We would love for you to come to one of our Showcases, our Revisions, or our Main Stage Production., however, you are able to come, anything will be appreciated.
M. Nieblas has spent the majority of the past 25 years working on interpreting, writing, performing, and analyzing many forms of literature and drama. He has been a founding member of a raw theatre and a performance troupe from the ground up, while living in Alaska and later Boulder. He was the recipient of two separate research grants for college textbooks, one examining the role of the immigrant in New York Theatre and the other in examining the role of masculinity and the gaze in African Diaspora literature. While in undergrad and grad school, he organized Shakespeare and Modernist symposiums and has had the pleasure of presenting academic papers on subjects ranging from Mercutio’s Queen Mab of Romeo and Juliet to the haunted Tyrones of Long Day’s Journey into Night.
